Transitioning from a good job and n trophy home land to a touring comic start up, currently on a bicycle is a bit more difficult then expected, not true I knew this was going to be a bitch. I started blogging a few days ago to great self acclaim only to find myself in complete self doubt! What do I blog about and why do I want to blog in public? What are people going to think? Do I blog about modern history we, current affairs , comic bicycle touring? Who knows
9 am, I’ve got a lot of riding todo today to my 50 km min in and I look out and it is raining. Life on a bike, after I publish I will google local weather and go from there, international bike travel can be very complicated. On this trip I am noticing a remarkable improvement of my fitness. Now how I keep that standard in phatland. USA??
Working on my approach to Saigon, maybe there as long as two weeks. I’m going to work tha real hard to get some mic time while keeping my eye on the ball I have to be at the airport early on the 2nd with my bike in a clean bike box.
So back to the stand up, I get a place to stay, start geographing the city, airport etc, bike box etc and then comedy venues. All on the other side of the world. I really want this to work. I know I have to and be relentless as well as polite, I am a guest.
I do a lot of thinking when I’m cycling, I think it has something to do with the blood flow to the brain. And I have a good 10 +- days til Saigon and the same time there. I want to be a tourist for a day on the Mekong delta on a boat.
After Saigon it is back to the USA for 3-4 months.
Still thinking what do I blog about, why do I blog. And noticing that I like blogging.
A lot to think about, time to ride.
